Leadership and Intrapersonal Development (LIPD) – 2018 UGC Teaching Award
December 2, 2021Introduction
Inspiration Hub is a platform to facilitate innovation in Teaching and Learning through a showcase of best practices and successful cases in APSS, alongside with the capture of departmental philosophy and endeavors in the T & L domain. The IH is for two purposes: internally, it is like a virtual community of practice, allowing colleagues to gather around and collaborate for tryouts; externally, it allows outsiders to understand about the T & L endeavors of the department in a single platform, which is very important to inform to the public of the importance of ‘educating’ of a university.

Aims
Understanding it as an archive, it comprises of project information in video and documentary forms, thus allowing potential colleagues to have a frame of reference to formulate their own new ideas for pedagogical practices. The Hub is especially useful to mentor new teaching staff with examples of T & L attempts in APSS context: through observing the successful pedagogical applications in APSS subjects, as well as all education research running currently in the department and those prestigious rewards that capture milestone endeavors in this spectrum. This also echoes with a strong concern of the Central Management to provide consistent in-service training for postgraduate Teaching Assistants.
